The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, storytellers, and lovers of all kinds.

About Allison

Allison Smith

Founder & Lead Facilitator

Allison is an intuitive healer on a mission to change the world. She aims to raise the collective consciousness by helping people of all ages connect with their Highest Self and to live a life in alignment with their Highest Purpose. Allison boasts decades of experience in the nonprofit and education sectors where she has designed and implemented evidence-based programs for more than 3,000 young people and adults, helping them define their values, build their character, and leverage their personal strengths. Allison’s strategy and operations expertise has streamlined systems and processes to scale impact for schools, nonprofits, and start-ups.

Allison built her career in mission-driven environments, doing meaningful and important work, yet she struggled to feel truly fulfilled. Her body sent signals that something was amiss— the tightly clenched jaw, the persistent stomachache, and unflattering irritability. She could no longer ignore what her body was telling her: she was not living in alignment with her Highest Self. When Covid-19 upended daily life, Allison leaned into the opportunity for change. She left her job, sold her house, and set off on a journey to heal her ailing body and being, fill her days with things that made her happy, and reconnect with her Highest Purpose.

Allison used this time to do two things: explore possibilities and deepen her 15-year yoga and meditation practice. She met with people who interested her— entrepreneurs, human-centered designers, impact investors, and political organizers wondering if their path would help lead her closer to hers. At the same time, Allison participated in intensive spiritual retreats where she learned more about embodiment, metaphysics, and personal spiritual practice. One day, Allison realized alignment to her Highest Purpose would come when these two paths converged. She would not find fulfilment in a strictly secular setting; it was time to intertwine with her spiritual practice into her life’s work.

And so, The Center for Peace & Connection was born: Not just a community center, a sacred space. A place where all people can find self-healing and inner peace, where they can connect with their community, and where they can embark on spiritual discovery— without having to quit their jobs or travel halfway around the world!

Allison serves as The Center’s Founder & Lead Facilitator where she brings a number of certifications, trainings, and healing modalities to support community members in their journey toward peace and connection. She holds an MPA from University of Southern California and a BA in Public Communication from American University. Allison has lived all over the world and in six different states, but always calls New Jersey home. She proudly holds the title of “Favorite Aunt” to over a dozen tiny humans and canine friends. Allison currently resides in Lincoln Park, NJ with her grandfather.

Allison strives to inspire peace, beauty, freedom and connection in the world around her.
